Re: Portrait of Jesus with surgeon offends, January 23-29.
When I read Maureen Revay’s remarks, I just had to write to you as well.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I want you to know that I was not offended by the picture of Jesus in Dr. Gimbel’s office. On the contrary, it is comforting to know there are doctors who are not afraid to tell the world they are Christians. I did not get the impression at all that Dr. Gimbel was one of the ‘chosen’ – rather that he is a follower of Christ.
“. . . if there is anything virtuous, lovely or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.”
I certainly hope you received more positive letters than negative letters.
