Nortel has named Steven Bandrowczak as its chief information officer starting July 16. Before joining Nortel, Bandrowczak was senior vice-president and CIO of PC producer Lenovo. Hollinger Inc. (TSX:HLG.C, HLG.PR.B) has appointed Wesley Voorheis as its CEO. Hollinger has about 70-per-cent voting and 19.7-per-cent equity interest in Sun-Times Media Group Inc., which owns the Chicago Sun-Times and a large number of community newspapers in the Chicago area. Cognos has appointed Rick Gilbody as its president for the Americas. He has been acting in that capacity since March and was previously senior VP of finance and operations. He joined Cognos in 2000.
