Neptune Bulk Terminals in North Vancouver has a new president. James Belsheim joined Neptune in 2006 as executive VP and general manager.
Neptune has one of the largest bulk terminals in North America, shipping about $2 billion of potash, coal and agricultural products annually around the world.
Blue Sky Uranium Corp. (TSXV:BSK), a junior miner based in Vancouver, has appointed uranium specialist Clifton Farrel as executive VP and COO of the company. He will help Blue Sky develop its uranium exploration program in Argentina.
Farrell joins Blue Sky from the Nuclear Energy Institute in Washington, D.C., where he was responsible for licensing and regulatory affairs.
Norsemont Mining Inc. (TSX:NOM) is moving its head office to Toronto from Vancouver and losing its chief financial officer as a result.
CFO Tony Ricci is leaving because of the move east, and will be replaced by former SouthernEra Diamonds CFO Chris Reynolds.
Norsemont is an exploration company focused on the Constancia copper-gold-molydenum deposit in Peru.
Rare Element Resources Ltd. (TSXV:RES) has appointed Donald Ranta as president and CEO. He replaces William Bird, who remains an adviser to the board.
Ranta is an exploration and development executive who is VP of finance for the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers.

StrataGold Corp. (TSX:SGV) has promoted Mark Ayranto to vice-president of environment and community affairs. He has been with the company since January as manager of environment and community affairs,

Geoff Hamilton has joined MetroBridge Networks International Inc. (TSXV:MEB) as VP of corporate development. He most recently served as chief acquisitions officer for DTI Dental Technologies.
Also joining MetroBridge is Thorsten Gutsche as VP of operations. He brings 13 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
MetroBridge is a high-speed wireless broadband provider for business with operations in Canada and the United States. Its head office is in Vancouver.
Firesteel Resources Inc. (TSXV:FTR) has appointed Walter Wakula as president, CEO and a director. Wakula brings more than 25 years of experience as a senior executive and corporate director in the energy and banking industries.
Don Barker has been named chief operations officer for minerals, with responsibility for Firesteel’s North American minerals business. He will remain a director.
Firesteel is a junior exploration company with precious- and base-metal prospects in British Columbia, the N.W.T. and Mexico, and oilsands properties in Alberta. Its head office is in Vancouver.
Savant Explorations Ltd. (TSXV:SVT) has made Richard Cote, P.Eng, its new VP of exploration. Cote comes with more than 30 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry, spending the past two years as an independent consultant based in Montreal.
Savant focuses on early-stage exploration for long-life ore bodies that can be developed in partnership with larger mining companies. Its corporate office is in Vancouver.
GBS Gold International Inc. (TSX:GBS) has hired two former executives of LionOre Mining, which was sold to Norilsk Nickel earlier this year.
Ted Mayers becomes executive VP of business development, a new position, and Marie Inkster becomes VP of finance. Mayers, who is also a GBS Gold director, was most recently the CFO of LionOre, while Inkster was the VP, controller.
GBS is an emerging gold producer with properties in Australia and Canada. The company is in the process of moving its head office from Vancouver to Toronto by the end of 2007.
Medical Ventures Corp. (TSXV:MEV) says Alexei Marko has taken on the role of company president and chief operating officer. Paul Geyer will continue in his capacity as CEO and chair of the board of directors.
Marko, who joined Medical Ventures in 2003, was previously VP and COO.
An additional change to the management team sees Chris Clark promoted from director of finance to CFO. He replaces Craig Wallace, who has resigned. Wallace will continue to provide services on an as-needed basis.

Jeffrey Reeder, P.Geo., formerly an independent director of Lateegra Gold Corp. (TSXV: LRG), has accepted the position of VP of business development for the company.
Reeder brings with him 15 years of experience in Peru, together with a turnkey team of personnel currently employed by him.
Vancouver-based Lateegra is focused on precious metals in Mexico and South America.
Andriyko Herchak has been appointed as CFO of Hathor Exploration Ltd. (TSXV:HAT).
Herchak’s most recent position was as CFO of Playground, a division of Intrawest Corp.
Hathor and its subsidiary Roughrider Uranium Corp. have uranium projects located primarily in the Athabasca area of Saskatchewan and Alberta. Hathor’s head office is in Vancouver.
Colt Resources Inc. (CNQ:COLT) has appointed Jorge Valente of Belo Horizonte, Brazil as the company’s COO and a director. Valente has been involved in various aspects of the mining industry in Portugal, Brazil and Angola.

Kimber Resources Inc. (TSX:KBR, AMEX:KBX) says that as part of its management succession process, current CFO Gordon Cummings has been appointed president and CEO of the company effective Oct. 31. He will succeed Robert Longe, who is retiring.
Kimber is a Vancouver junior miner focused on the Sierra Madre gold-silver belt of Mexico.
Patrick Marshall has become CEO of Ocean Industries BC (OIBC). Marshall brings more than 22 years of planning, development and marketing experience.

Vision Critical has promoted Jason Smith to the roles of president and COO of its panel division. He had held the position of SVP of sales and marketing since 2004.

Suramina Resources Inc. (TSX:SAX), a Vancouver miner that is part of the Lundin mining group, has appointed Patricio Jones as president, CEO and a director. He replaces Paul Conibear, who remains a director and will now more fully focus on his role as senior VP of projects for Lundin Mining Corp. (TSX:LUN).
Based in Buenos Aires, Jones joined the Lundin group in the late 1980s.
Suramina has also appointed Craig Feebrey as executive VP of exploration. He comes with 14 years of experience in project generation, evaluation, and business development.
Eduard Epshtein is the new CFO of Southern Arc Minerals Inc. (TSXV:SA), replacing Cyrus Driver who has agreed to be an adviser to the company.
Epshtein, a CA, was previously CFO of Western Uranium Corp. and Canada Energy Partners Inc.
Southern Arc is a Vancouver mineral exploration company focused on Indonesia.
Tenajon Resources Corp. (TSXV:TJS) has appointed Richard Godfrey as CFO. He was previously VP finance for EuroZinc Mining prior to the merger with Lundin Mining Corp.
Tenajon, part of the Northair Group of Companies, is a mineral exploration and production company based in Vancouver.
Rusoro Mining Ltd. (TSXV:RML) has hired Omar Salas as CFO, replacing Cheryl Messier.
Salas, a CMA and MBA, previously held several senior finance-oriented positions in the industry, most recently as director of finance for Glencairn Gold Corp.
Based in Vancouver, Rusoro is a junior gold producer focused on Bolivar State, Venezuela.
