NAL Oil & Gas Trust has named a new president and CEO, hiring Andrew Wiswell, currently CEO of the Parkland Income Fund.
Wiswell's curriculum vitae also includes the presidency of ICG Propane Ltd., and before that 16 years at Gulf Canada Resources Ltd., rising to chief financial officer.
Resigning from Parkland (TSX:PKI.UN) effective May 13, he will take over the top job at NAL (TSX:NAE.UN) on May 31, the fund announced.
He succeeds the retiring Donald Driscoll, NAL's president and CEO for the past nine years. Wiswell will also be president of NAL Resources Management Ltd., the wholly owned subsidiary of Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC), which manages the trust.
Enerflex Systems Ltd.
has appointed chief operating officer Blair Goertzen as the company's new president.
Goertzen joined Enerflex as executive vice-president and chief operating officer in August 2003.
Calgary-based Enerflex (TSX:EFX) supplies natural gas compression, power generation, and process equipment and services to the global oil and gas industry. The Calgary company operates in Canada, the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Pakistan and Indonesia.
Pengrowth Corp. has named James J. Emme as executive vice-president of Pengrowth Corp. and vice-president of Pengrowth Management Ltd.
Emme has a 25-year career in the oil and gas industry in North America and internationally, including a role as president of Anadarko Canada from 2000 to 2001.
Big Sky Energy Corp. announced that Bruce Gaston will replace Tom Milne as the company's chief financial officer.
Milne will remain as a director of the Calgary oil and gas exploration firm.
Gaston has been a senior associate director of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell in London and Tokyo, and more recently a consultant with a boutique risk-management firm.
The company also announced that Ruslan Tsarni has been named vice-president of business development and corporate secretary. Tsarni was corporate counsel to Nelson Resources Ltd.
Biotechnology company Ceapro Inc. (TSXV:CZO) has hired Shawn McMillan as controller. McMillan gained his commerce degree in 2002 and chartered accountant designation this year.
Ceapro, with head offices in Edmonton, develops and commercializes organic products for medical, cosmetic and animal-health industries.
