There’s been a change in ExxonMobil Canada West’s leadership team.

Tim Cutt, previously president and operations manager for Hibernia Management and Development Co., has replaced Glenn McNamara as production manager.

Cutt is based in Calgary, where he provides leadership to the company’s upstream organization in Western and northern Canada.

ExxonMobil Canada is wholly owned by ExxonMobil Corp. of Irving, Tex., and has offices and operations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

Rutger Niers has joined Pure Energy Services Ltd. as the vice-president for corporate development and planning, and also takes a seat on the board of directors.

Rutger comes to Pure Energy after 10 years of commercial lending experience at HSBC. Over the past five years he has focused specifically in commercial lending in the energy services industry.

James Ross is stepping down as president and CEO of Steeplejack Industrial Group Inc., a provider of scaffolding, insulation and other maintenance services to industrial companies in Western Canada.

Ross has held the top executive positions in the Edmonton-based company since 1992, and at its predecessor company from 1985 to 1992.

Pat Ross, no relation to the departing CEO, will become the new chief executive on October 1. From 1996 to 2002, Pat Ross was president of Wittke Inc., a garbage-truck maker.

Carol Ryder is the new chair of the Bow Valley College board of governors. She replaces John Currie, who served as the Calgary-based college’s chair since April 1998.

Ryder is director of business development at White Iron Group and has been a public member on the college board since early 2002.

Resverlogix Corp. has a new vice-president of business and product development.

Kenneth E. Lebioda has broad management experience with a number of international pharmaceutical companies.

Calgary-based Resverlogix (RVX-TSXV) is a biotechnology research and development company.

Calvalley Petroleum has made three new managerial appointments.

Thomas E. Valentine becomes corporate secretary. He is a partner with Macleod Dixon LLP, where he has practised as a barrister and solicitor with a focus on energy work for nearly 20 years.

David A. Winter has been appointed the senior vice-president of exploration and production, and will be responsible for all Calvalley’s international exploration, development activities and business development.

He brings 21 years of international experience in operations, oil and gas exploration and development, and business development.

W. J. Shane McMullen is the new chief financial officer. McMullen practised with Deloitte & Touche LLP for 29 years, and brings extensive cross-border finance and profit repatriation experience.

Steve Dobler is joining Calgary-based Les Truffes Au Chocolat as vice-president of operations. Dobler is a professional engineer with 20 years of engineering and business experience.

Les Truffes specializes in making high-end chocolate products and has a manufacturing facility and three stores in Calgary.

Midwest Industries has hired Bob Dawson as regional sales manager based in Sherwood Park.

Dawson will work with dealers in the Prairie provinces and western Ontario to provide trailers, parts and service.

Ida Grove, Iowa-based Midwest Industries manufactures trailers and boat hoists and docks.
