Angiotech Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (TSX:ANP, Nasdaq: ANPI), a global specialty pharmaceutical and medical device company, has appointed Chris Dennis its senior VP of sales and marketing.

Prior to joining Angiotech, Dennis was global president of Johnson & Johnson’s OrthoNeutrogena company.

Anderson replaces Judy Davies, who has resigned.

Southwestern Resources Corp. (TSX:SWG) has promoted Giovanni Susin to the position of VP of finance and CFO, effective May 1. Susin replaces Parkash Athwal, who is leaving for personal reasons after 13 years with the company.
Susin also becomes CFO of Superior Diamonds Inc. (TSXV:SUP) effective May 1, again replacing Athwal, who will be consulting to both companies on a part-time basis.
Susin has been Southwestern’s controller since 2000, and Superior’s controller since the company’s inception in 2002.
Southwestern is a Vancouver-based mineral exploration company focused on gold, silver and base-metals properties in China and Peru.
Superior is a Vancouver exploration company searching for diamonds in the Canadian Shield.

Charles Chebry has been named Kaminak Gold Corp.’s new CFO, replacing John Williamson who will remain on the board.
Vancouver-based Kaminak (TSXV:KAM) is devoted to metallic mineral exploration in Canada.

Oro Silver Resources Ltd. (TSXV:OSR) has named Herve Thiboutot as VP of exploration and development. Thiboutot is a geological engineer who has worked for Placer Dome and more recently with Goldcorp.

NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. (TSXV:NKW) says Ray Castelli will assume the role of CEO of NaiKun Wind Development Inc., in addition to his current role as president. He will also be appointed senior VP of group and all subsidiary companies.
NaiKun Wind Development, which is engaged in wind-energy development in the Haida field off the coast of B.C., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vancouver-based NaiKun Wind Energy Group.

Western Uranium Corp. (TSXV:WUC) has appointed John Rice as VP of exploration. He replaces Victor Calloway, who assumes the position of chief geologist.
Prior to joining Western, Rice provided geological consulting services for 10 years.
Western is a mineral exploration company with a focus on uranium. Its head office is in Vancouver, while its executive management team is based in Reno.

Canfor CEO Jim Shepherd is quitting the top jobs at Canada’s largest softwood producer.
Shepherd’s resignation follows an announcement by B.C. billionaire Jim Pattison and the founding families of the forestry company that they would vote together for a mutually agreed slate of directors at the AGM and against a proposed shareholder rights plan. The group collectively owns or controls 52 per cent of Canfor’s common stock.
Shepherd became the president and CEO of Canfor (TSX:CFP) in April 2004 following the takeover of Slocan Forest Products Ltd., at which he was chief executive.
Shepherd will remain with Vancouver-based Canfor until its annual meeting May 4.

Scott Edmonds has become WebTech Wireless Inc.’s new CFO. Most recently, he served as VP and CFO at QuIC Financial Technologies.
Juliet Jones, the CFO since January 2005, will continue to work with WebTech on a consulting basis for special projects.

SYMC Resources Ltd. (TSXV:SY) has appointed Len de Melt as the company’s new chairman and to the positions of president and CEO on an interim basis.
He takes over the helm at the invitation of Herbert McMaster, who continues with SYMC as VP with responsibility for SYMC’s Port Alberni operations.
De Melt was previously executive chairman of Grenville Gold Corp., and a director and COO of International PBX.
SYMC, focused on mineral properties on Vancouver Island, is based in Port Alberni.

Chris Lee has joined Fronteer Development Group (TSX, Amex:FRG) and Aurora Energy Resources Inc. (TSX:AXU) as chief geoscientist. He was previously a principal consultant with SRK Consulting (Canada) Inc.
Fronteer has promoted Ian Cunningham Dunlop to VP of exploration. Dunlop previously held the position of exploration manger for Canada and Turkey.
Lee and Dunlop fill positions vacated by Rick Valenta, who has returned home to Australia.
Vancouver-based Fronteer has a portfolio of mining projects in Turkey, Mexico and Yukon. Aurora, which is focused on the Central Mineral Belt of coastal Labrador, was incorporated in 2005 to hold the uranium exploration assets of Fronteer and Altius Resources Inc.

Cox was most recently the CFO, VP of operations and corporate secretary of Protox Therapeutics Inc.
