Douglas Thomson brings to the specialty pharmaceutical company extensive experience in a variety of industries in senior financial and management roles. He currently sits as an elected member and officer on the governing council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.

Lloyd Wiggins has resigned as CFO and executive vice-president of TGS North American REIT to pursue other interests.

Todd Cook has been appointed to the CFO post. Cook has held the position of treasurer with TGS NA REIT since its inception, and worked extensively on the formation of the REIT as controller of TGS Properties Ltd.

TGS NA REIT is an unincorporated, open-end real estate investment trust governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta.

The president of Circa Enterprises Inc. has resigned, but will stay on until his successor is selected.

The Calgary-based industrial equipment maker said that Ivan Smith will also stay on the board and provide consulting services to the company after a new executive is chosen.

Circa (CTO-TSX) did not give a reason for Smith’s departure.

Heather Douglas has been appointed to the new position of executive director of Calgary-based SEPAC (Small Explorers and Producers Association of Canada).

Douglas has extensive experience in the Canadian oilpatch including past roles with energy publications such as Petroleum Recovery Week and Nickle’s Daily Oil Bulletin, as well as Mobil Oil Canada, NOVA Corp. and Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd.

SEPAC, formed in 1986, is a lobby organization that works on behalf of independent explorer and producer companies.

Launch Resources Inc. has dismissed its president and chief executive as part of restructuring by the junior oil and gas producer.

John Burlington is leaving the company (LAU-TSXV) immediately. The board off directors has assumed management of the Calgary-based firm.

Monroe Thomas is the new vice-president of information systems and software development for Pure Technologies Ltd. Thomas joined Pure in 1998 as systems manager.

Pure (PUR-TSXV) is an international technology company which has developed patented and proprietary technologies for management and surveillance of infrastructure.

Gemini Corp. has appointed Randy Lomas to the post of health, safety and environmental (HSE) officer.

Lomas was previously manager of the company’s fabrication plant at Ponoka, south of Edmonton. Lomas has received extensive HSE training over the past 15 years.

Based in Calgary, Gemini (GKX-TSCV) provides a range of services including project management, fabrication, construction and operations.
