Pilot Energy Ltd. has appointed Douglas Smith as its new chief financial officer.
Smith was previously chief financial officer of Rio Alto Exploration Ltd.
Pilot (TSXV:PGY) is a junior energy company involved in exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Barry Larson has joined Petro Andina Resources Ltd. as vice-president and chief operating officer.
Larson co-founded Aventura Energy Inc., which sold in 2004.
Larson will ultimately be based in Calgary, but is currently in the company's Buenos Aires office.
Petro Andina is a private company headquartered in Calgary and operating in Argentina.
Mindoro Resources Ltd. has appointed Penny Gould as chief financial officer.
Gould, who has been with Mindoro since 1996, will continue in her role of executive vice-president, a position she has held since 1999.
Headquartered in Edmonton, Mindoro (TSXV:MIO; DAX:OLM) is exploring for gold and gold-copper in the Asia-Pacific region.
Robin Sparks, senior vice-president, has been chosen to head Hill & Knowlton Canada's new energy practice based in Calgary.
