Premium Brands Income Fund (TSX:PBI.UN) says chief executive Fred Knoedler has died of cancer. The fund said president George Paleologou was named acting chief executive.

Under Knoedler, the fund underwent a significant transformation from a small meat processor to leading specialty-food manufacturing and distribution businesses. Premium Brands has manufacturing and distribution facilities in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Washington.

Adriana Resources Inc. (TSXV:ADI) has appointed Michael Petrina as vice-president of operations. Petrina was most recently general manager of operations for Adanac Molybdenum. Adriana is focused on iron ore projects in Brazil and Quebec. Its head office is in Vancouver.

Danny Lee has resigned as chief financial officer of Transeuro Energy Corp. (TSXV:TSU) to pursue other opportunities. Edward Farrauto, currently executive VP, has been appointed interim CFO of the Vancouver company. Transeuro's petroleum and natural gas properties are located in Canada, Ukraine, Armenia and Papua New Guinea.

Maricruz Alvarado has resigned as CFO of Castle Gold Corp. (TSXV:CSG) due to personal reasons and professional commitments. The Vancouver company is currently expanding gold production within the Americas.

Rusoro Mining Ltd. (TSXV:RML) has named Matias Herrero to the position of VP of finance and Gary Warnecke as interim CFO. Herrero most recently was corporate controller for Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. Warnecke has been working as Rusoro's internal auditor. Rusoro is a junior gold producer with a land position in the Bolivar State region of Venezuela. Its corporate office is in Vancouver.

GLG Life Tech Corp. (TSX:GLG) has undertaken a management restructuring. Luke Zhang, previously chairman and president of GLG, becomes CEO and will retain the title of chairman. Brian Palmieri, previously executive director and CEO, becomes vice-chairman and president. David Bishop has been appointed to the role of executive VP for international affairs in place of his previous role as chief operating officer. Based in Vancouver, GLG produces stevia extract, a zero-calorie sweetener.

Northland Resources Inc. (TSX:NAU) has appointed Mirek Benes to the position of VP of exploration. Benes has worked for Barrick Gold and more recently founded a mineral exploration company. Northland is a junior explorer with a portfolio of iron, gold and base-metal projects in Sweden and Finland. Its headquarters are in Vancouver.

Gleichen Resources Ltd. (TSXV:GRL) has named Michael Murphy its new president and a director. Murphy comes with 17 years of experience in the financial industry. The Vancouver-based junior miner says it is continuing to actively search and review potential business opportunities.

Pan American Silver Corp. (TSX:PAA, Nasdaq:PAAS) has made changes to its senior management team. Steven Busby has been promoted to COO of the Vancouver company. Andrew Pooler has resigned from his position as senior VP of mining operations to pursue other career opportunities, to be replaced by Andres Dasso. Joe Phillips has been appointed senior VP of project development. Pan American has seven operating silver mines in Mexico, Peru and Bolivia with an eighth mine to open this year in Argentina.

Golden Predator Mines Inc. (TSX:GP) says Peter Bosse has been appointed COO of Golden Predator Mines (US) Inc. Most recently, Bosse was VP of metallurgical engineering for GP. Art Ettlinger continues as COO of the Vancouver-based parent company, Golden Predator Mines Inc., which has a portfolio of gold and tungsten exploration and development properties in the western United States and Canada

Bob Byrd has joined Gold Hawk Resources Inc. (TSXV:CGK) as its VP of Latin America and executive president of Gold Hawk's wholly owned Compania Minera San Juan (Peru) S.A. He will be based in Lima. Byrd was most recently president and GM in Bolivia for Pan American Silver. In other company moves, Rod Lamond has been promoted to the new position of VP of corporate development. He had served as Gold Hawk's VP of operations since April 2006. Gold Hawk is a Vancouver-based precious- and base-metals producer.
