RedEngine ran away with the big prizes at the inaugural Digital Arts Competition organized by Alberta New Media.
Edmonton-based RedEngine Inc. took Best of Show honours for the website it developed for Roth & Ramberg Photographers and the Gold Award in the Commercial Professional category.
“This (Roth & Ramberg) site hit the mark on all counts and far exceeds other entries for its overall design,” said DAC judge David Coates, principle of Ion Design in Vancouver.
“Flash doing what Flash does best. A classic example of letting the message come to the fore while the technology stays transparent,” said judge Tom Green, multimedia program co-ordinator for Humber College in Ontario.
“Knowing that we have some of the best new media companies in the world is one thing,” said Will Zaichkowski, Edmonton president of Alberta New Media. “Being able to show the world what we have here is what makes shows like this so important.”
Alberta New Media is the voice of Alberta’s new media industry and provides lobbying, networking, educational and training opportunities.
