Mark Teare has joined BrazAlta Resources Corp. (TSXV:BRX) as VP of exploration. For the past eight years, Teare has held a series of senior management roles at EnCana, most recently as country lead for Brazil. Teare replaces Arthur Halleran, who is pursuing other career opportunities. BrazAlta is a Calgary-based international oil and gas company.

Genco Resources Ltd. (TSX:GGC) says CEO Gregory Liller has left the company, to be replaced by Robert Gardner as acting chief executive as the company moves ahead to revise its plan for the La Guitarra gold and silver mine in Mexico. Operations at the mine had been suspended last fall because of a walkout by employees of its primary mining contractor, Simsa. Genco is a junior miner based in Vancouver.

Stream Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSXV:SKO) has entered into agreements for the services of Mike Berezowski as COO and Art Agolli as executive VP. SKO says the pair bring "considerable expertise in hydrocarbon projects development and executive leadership in gas exploration/development.”

Stream is a Vancouver-based emerging oil and gas company with assets in Albania.

Alpha Gold Corp. (TSXV:ALQ) reports that Richard Whatley has been named interim CEO, following the death of George Whatley. Richard Whatley has served as a director of Alpha Gold since 1989. Based in Coquitlam, ALQ is a mineral exploration company focused on its Lustdust property in central B.C.

Icron Technologies Corp. (TSXV:IT) says that Robert Eisses has stepped down as the Burnaby company's president, chief executive and a director. Julian Elliott, an Icron director, becomes interim president and CEO. Icron makes USB bridging and extension technology used in digital home connectivity, industrial automation, medical imaging, aerospace and other markets.

Kevin Leong has resigned from The Silver Recycling Company Inc. (TSXV:TSR) as CFO and corporate secretary "by mutual agreement.”

The company will not replace Leong in the short term "during these challenging market conditions.”

Silver Recycling is a consolidator of privately owned silver and other precious metals recycling companies. Its head office is in Vancouver.

He replaces Adam Kniec, who will help complete the audited 2008 year-end financials. Nortec is a Vancouver mineral exploration company with projects in Finland, Labrador and Ecuador.

Gary Pearson, CFO and VP of finance, has left Sun-Rype Products Ltd. (TSX:SRF) to pursue other opportunities. Sun-Rype's corporate controller, Don VanderZwaag, becomes Sun-Rype's senior financial officer. Based in Kelowna, Sun-Rype is a manufacturer and marketer of fruit snacks and juices.

Mario Szotlender has stepped down as president, CEO and CFO of Focus Ventures Ltd. (NEX:FCV.H). David Cass has been appointed as president, CEO and a director; and Kevin Bales has been appointed CFO. Cass brings 20 years' international exploration and mining industry experience, while Bales brings 15 years of financial reporting experience in the IT and mining industries. Based in Vancouver, Focus is in the process of exploring and developing its mineral properties.

Con-Space designs and manufactures specialized voice communication equipment. Its head office is in Richmond.
