Enerplus Resources Fund (TSX: ERF.UN; NYSE: ERF) has promoted Garry Tanner to the position of executive vice-president and chief operating officer of Enerplus.
Tanner joined the Enerplus group of companies in 2000. Prior to this appointment he served as senior VP and COO of Enerplus.
Enerplus Resources Fund is one of Canada's largest conventional oil and natural gas income funds. Its corporate office is in Calgary.
Bonnett Energy Services Trust (TSX: BT.UN) has appointed Ross Broad as VP of operations effective May 15.
Ross was a co-founder of Independent Wireline, acquired by Bonnett last fall.
Bonnett provides wireline, testing, rentals and stimulation services to oil and natural gas companies in Western Canada. Its sales office is located in Calgary.
Bill Johnson has been named president and chief operating officer of Insta-rent Corp., the rental division of Rentcash Inc. (TSX:RCS).
Johnson has for the past 10 years been the executive VP and chief financial officer of a merchandise rental company.
Headquartered in Edmonton, Rentcash is a payday advance broker operating 424 stores across Canada under three banners: The Cash Store, Instaloans and Insta-rent.
Arsenal Energy Inc. (TSX:AEI) has appointed oilpatch veteran Errol Stewart, a company director, as president and chief executive.
Stewart is a founding member of the Arsenal board and a 26-year veteran of the oil and natural gas industry.
Arsenal is a junior oil and gas producer that acquired Tiverton Petroleums Ltd. in March. Company headquarters are in Calgary.
Veteran chemicals executive Jeff Johnston has been named president of Dow Chemical Canada Inc.
Johnston, who joined the Canadian subsidiary in 1986, replaces outgoing Dow Canada president Ramesh Ramachandran, who was recently reassigned to a U.S. position with the parent company.
Johnston was most recently feedstock manager within Dow's hydrocarbons and energy division in Europe.
Calgary-based Dow Canada employs about 1,300 people and has plants in Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.
