Ken Anderson is the new CEO of SaskCentral, the trade association and umbrella organization for Saskatchewan's 66 credit unions. Anderson had been CFO and vice-president of finance and strategic investment management for SaskCentral since January 2005. He replaces Sid Bildfell, who announced last year he would be retiring this month. SaskCentral's office is in Regina.
• • • Viterra (TSX:VT) has named Andrew Muirhead, CA, as senior VP of corporate development. Muirhead is a former VP and director of investment banking at TD Securities Inc. He will work in Calgary. Saskatchewan Wheat Pool Inc., doing business as Viterra, has operations across Western Canada and in the United States and Japan. It is headquartered in Regina.
• • • Craig Wireless Systems Ltd. (TSX:CWG) has named Wesley Thiessen as its director of finance and interim CFO. Craig and its affiliates offer telecommunications services. It is based in Winnipeg.
• • • Nordic Management Ltd. has hired Kevin Strong, CGA, as a consultant undertaking the duties of CFO for Nordic Oil and Gas Ltd. (TSXV:NOG). Strong comes with more than 11 years' experience as a senior regional manager in the finance sector. Nordic Oil and Gas has an agreement with Nordic Management, a company controlled by certain of Nordic Oil and Gas Ltd.'s directors and officers, for various services. The junior oil and gas company is based in Winnipeg.
