A veteran Texas Instruments executive has joined Ottawa-based Mosaid Technologies Inc. (TSX:MSD) as senior vice-president of patent licensing, general counsel and corporate secretary.
John Lindgren was vice-president and assistant general counsel at TI. He replaces Ted Galanthay, a Mosaid board member who acted while the company conducted an executive search. Mosaid supplies semiconductor testing systems.
St. Andrew Goldfields Ltd. (TSX:SAS) has promoted Claude Schimper to VP of Timmins operations. He was previously mine manager of the company's Stock gold complex near Timmins.

CMC Microsystems has named Jim Roche as acting president and CEO. Brian Barge is concluding his tenure as president and CEO further to his announcement in July to step down.
Roche was president and CEO of Tundra Semiconductor Corp. until September of this year. Based in Kingston, CMC is a non-profit agency that provides microsystems researchers with design resources, support services and access to manufacturing technologies.
CIT Canada has made three executive appointments.
Mark Hart becomes chief sales officer and senior VP for CIT Commercial Finance Canada, Peter Kinkartz becomes managing director and head of CIT Capital Markets Canada and Bruce Smith is the new senior vice-president of CIT Vendor Finance Canada.
Hart was previously a group vice-president with SunTrust Bank in Atlanta. Kinkartz comes with 15 years of experience in the financial services sector. Prior to CIT, Smith served as general manager of Dell Financial Services Canada. CIT Canada is a division of CIT Group Inc., a commercial and consumer finance company.
DMTI Spatial has named George Staikos as senior VP and general manager for Canada. He joined DMTI early in 2006 as senior VP for sales and marketing. DMTI provides location and geographic information services and digital mapping. Its head office is in Markham.
