Weatherhaven, a provider of redeployable shelter systems, says Ray Castelli has been invited to join the ownership group of the company and will serve as Weatherhaven's new chief executive officer, effective March 1. Castelli has been a member of Weatherhaven's advisory board since 2006. He was most recently president and CEO of Naikun Wind Development. Weatherhaven's head office is in Burnaby.
• • • Art In Motion Income Fund (TSX:AIM.UN) says chief financial officer Allan Achtemichuk is departing effective March 25 "to pursue other opportunities.'' This follows the January acquisition by Clarke Inc. (TSX:CKI) of the Art In Motion stake held by founders Garry Peters and Vicki Peters, raising Clarke's interest to 60 per cent of the troubled art-reproduction trust's voting rights.

• • • Donald Gee has joined Great Bear Uranium Corp. (CNQ:GTBR) as president and CEO. He replaces Wan Jung, who will remain as CFO for the Coquitlam company. Gee more recently served as an executive and director for several publicly listed resource companies. Great Bear is an exploration company focused on uranium properties.
• • • Robert McKnight has stepped down as CFO of Savant Explorations Ltd. (TSXV:SVT). Alyce Chan, previously company controller, has assumed the role of CFO. McKnight remains a director. Savant is a Vancouver mine exploration and development company active in Canada, the United States and Chile.
• • • Tagish Lake Gold Corp. (TSXV:TLG) has accepted the resignation of president Bob Rodger. Greg Hawkins, the current chairman, has been appointed as interim CEO. Richmond-based Tagish explores for and develops gold-silver mineral deposits in the Yukon Territory.
• • • The CFO of Trigon Uranium Corp. (TSXV:TEL) is leaving the company as it completes a shift of headquarters from Kelowna to Golden, Colo. Trigon said Louis Blom is being replaced by CEO Sidney Himmel. Trigon Exploration Utah Inc.'s CEO Thomas Buchholz is now in charge of operations for Trigon Uranium. Trigon is currently exploring the Henry Mountains and Marysvale projects in Utah and the Hauber Project of Wyoming.
• • • Sherwood Copper Corp. (TSXV:SWC, SWC.DB) has appointed Kevin Weston as chief operating officer. Weston was most recently vice-president and general manager with Breakwater Resources. Sherwood is focused on the Minto copper-gold deposit in the Yukon Territory. Its head office is in Vancouver.
• • • Exeter Resource Corp. (TSXV:XRC, AMEX:XRA) has recruited Michael McPhie to the new position of executive VP of corporate development and environment. Most recently McPhie served as the president and CEO of the Mining Association of British Columbia. Exeter is a Vancouver mineral exploration company focused on the discovery and development of gold and silver properties in South America.

• • • Co-founder Julia Levy is one of several executives among 115 people leaving QLT Inc. (TSX:QLT) in a previously announced downsizing. Alain Curaudeau also is departing as senior VP of portfolio and project management, and acting senior VP of research and development. The job cuts represent 45 per cent of the Vancouver drug developer's employee count, and it says "further reductions in force are expected in 2008 as the company's assets are divested under the restructuring.”
Andover Ventures Inc. (TSXV:AOX) has engaged two mining industry veterans. Bruce Riederer becomes president and John Thornton chief development officer. They bring the Vancouver company a combined 80 years of experience in exploration, mine development and project management. Andover's flagship property is a polymetalic deposit in northwestern Alaska.

Phil Wright, who has long experience in the mining industry, replaces Karl-Axel Waplan who has resigned from the company and as director to pursue other interests and endeavours. Lundin is a diversified base-metals mining company with six operating mines and three major development projects. The company's corporate office is in Vancouver.
• • • Luna Gold Corp. (TSXV-LGC) has hired Martin Reid as its new CFO. Reid brings more than 10 years of treasury/finance experience, most recently as director of treasury for Barrick Gold. He replaces Marcel deGroot, who remains a director. Vancouver-based Luna is a mining exploration company focused on gold resources in northeastern Brazil.

Drips brings more than 32 years of experience in building and operating gold and silver mines, most recently as VP of Mexico operations for Endeavour Silver.
