Stephan Doyle and Russell Erickson are taking on new roles at SMART Technologies Inc.
Doyle will be the Calgary-based technology firm’s manager of product marketing, while Erickson has been named manager of international marketing.
The duo will be responsible for marketing SMART Roomware products in local and international markets.
Doyle, who joined the company three years ago, has worked in vertical marketing and product marketing and is now responsible for a team of product and channel marketers who develop print, online and multimedia marketing materials to promote SMART products.
Before his appointment, Erickson spent five years promoting SMART’s international marketing efforts. Erickson and his team will continue to work with and broaden the company’s international market.
Warren Cabral has been named the new chief financial officer of Edmonton-based Altachem Pharma Ltd. He assumes his new role Jan. 7.
Cabral, a chartered accountant by trade, brings extensive experience in the areas of securities regulation, corporate governance and financial reporting.
For the past six years, he has worked with the capital markets division of the Alberta Securities Commission. His responsibilities included working with companies and legal counsel, evaluating waiver applications and representing the commission on the System for Electronic Data Analysis and Retrieval (SEDAR) Working Group. Prior to that, he worked with Ernst & Young LLP.
Altachem Pharma (AAF-CDNX) is an Alberta-based pharmaceutical company committed to the development and commercialization of new pharmaceutical products. The company is developing a multi-tiered, integrated approach for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and cancer.
Katrina Cohrs has joined national IT services company Voyus Canada Inc. Cohrs has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience, and was previously vice-president of marketing at Triangulum Corp.
She will be responsible for the growth of Voyus, which has six offices across Canada, in the Calgary region.
