David Larche has resigned as president and CEO of the company to focus on his private business interests. He remains a director.
Replacing Larche as CEO is Dean MacEachern, formerly VP of exploration. MacEachern has been succeeded by Todd Keast, who was exploration manager for the past year.

Communitech: Waterloo Region Technology Association has appointed Carol Leaman as CEO-in-residence. Leaman was formerly CEO of RSS Solutions Inc.

DaimlerChrysler Canada has appointed Lorraine Shalhoub as vice-president – general counsel for external affairs and public policy. Shalhoub joined the Windsor company in 1997 and was most recently director of external affairs and public policy.
John Varao has been named president, CEO and CIO of Scotia Cassels, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Scotiabank Group (TSX:BNS). He comes with 16 years of experience in asset management.
Scotia Cassels manages a combined $25 billion within mutual funds, private client portfolios and institutional client portfolios.

Telecommunications giant Nortel (TSX:NT) has promoted Jeff Townley to chief procurement officer. He will relocate to China and manage all of Nortel’s supplier relationships as well as all its annual purchases.

Biotech company Vasogen Inc. has made several management changes.
Christopher Waddick, the COO, will also be CFO, replacing Paul Van Damme, who has left the Mississauga company. Waddick previously was CFO from 1997 to 2005.
Dr. Eldon Smith, the VP of scientific affairs, also becomes chief medical officer and head of cardiovascular development.

Vector Aerospace Corp. (TSX:RNO) has named John MacDougall president of Acrohelipro Global Services Inc. and Brian Thompson president of Atlantic Turbines International Inc.
MacDougall has more than 20 years of experience in the aerospace industry and has served as the president of Atlantic Turbines since its inception more than 15 years ago.
