Whether you're in charge of a government division or a non-profit organization, a busy travel agency or a telco, you need the JuxtaComm Integration Platform.
Why? For the most important reason imaginable. It works wonders to stimulate your cost efficiency. As selling points go, it doesn't get much more basic than that.
"That's one of the sweet spots of our technology," enthused David Brown, CIO of an innovative Alberta company known as Teilhard Technologies.
"It enables you to increase your ability to deliver services while reducing costs at the same time.”
And what senior decision-maker wouldn't love the sound of that?
As the wizards at Teilhard Technologies will be pleased to tell you, their patented JuxtaComm integration platform is an e-business software product with the ability to extract information from an enormous variety of databases, including legacy systems, files, applications and queues. Teilhard Technologies holds the North America patent for the application and data-integration process.
JuxtaComm completes all necessary conversions and transformations you need to deliver relevant information, no matter what the format required, to all pertinent files, databases, flat files, applications or MQSeries queues.
Among JuxtaComm's many attractive attributes, versatility and adaptability rank near the top. That's what differentiates this product from anything Teilhard's competitors have been able to come up with. Operators can deploy the software for extremely large project needs as well as much smaller ones.
"Our application is totally horizontal. It will work in any industry out there - anywhere information is stored. Our technology was designed to be extremely flexible," Brown pointed out.
JuxtaComm was developed by Teilhard's own engineers to address common problems and issues faced by corporations of any size or specialty. And the company has delivered solutions to a long list of satisfied customers, from the reservation and hospitality business to clothing and apparel companies to federal departments such as Industry Canada and Transport Canada.
To illustrate how this software can make your corporate life easier, consider the assignment Teilhard Technologies was handed by Industry Canada.
In mid-1999, as part of its strategy heading into Y2K, Revenue Canada announced it would no longer use magnetic tape as a medium for inter- departmental information exchanges. Instead, the department would begin transmitting information using IBM's MQSeries, a messaging backbone able to connect to various older mainframe systems.
As a result, other federal departments being asked to respond to such information - Industry Canada, in this case - had to get up to speed in a hurry.
"Inside of only four months, Industry Canada had to be positioned to exchange information with Revenue Canada electronically," Brown stated the case in a nutshell.
Preliminary inquiries of Teilhard Technologies' competitors had not been encouraging. These companies promised Industry Canada reps they could perform such a task, but not within the necessary timeline: Even in a best-case scenario, said the competition, the job would take from six months to a year.
"Our management and sales people pounced on the opportunity," Brown recalled. "Even though we were a small company, we knew we could fill the bill. We were small and flexible. We owned an extremely agile and efficient technology. All we asked was for an opportunity.”
Desperate for a workable new system, Industry Canada took Teilhard at its word and has never regretted the decision.
In Phase 1 of the project, Teilhard technicians deployed JuxtaComm to pull messages from Revenue Canada off their MQSeries pipe, de-crypt them and write them into Industry Canada's central database, while making it possible to send information back to the MQSeries pipe.
Mission accomplished. The job required only 12 business days.
"In the process, we were able to train Industry Canada staff to use our solution. Because the scripting language that drives our product can be learned by anyone with an IT background in a matter of days," added Brown.
Thrilled by the speed and efficacy of the process, Industry Canada gave the OK for the second phase, which went ahead without a hitch.
In subsequent phases, Teilhard Technologies experts streamlined the process significantly, adding fresh and sophisticated new features as they went along.
When the job was done, Industry Canada was able to confirm that the improvements had saved Canadian taxpayers many millions of dollars.
The JuxtaComm Integration Platform may not save your organization that much money, but Brown and his colleagues guarantee that it will solve many of your most pressing IT problems.
"Whether it's your customers, whether it's your trading partners, whether it's decision- makers within your own company, it's important that they can hit a button and get information, regardless of the source, and know and trust that the information is current," Brown summed up.
"It's important that they know the integrity is there and they can make key decisions rapidly and efficiently.”
