Jim Meekison will take the helm of Vancouver-based Trimin Capital Corp. (TMN-TSX) this summer.

Meekison, the company’s chairman and largest shareholder, replaces Terry Holland, who is stepping down as president and CEO to become more directly involved in private equity investing.

The Vancouver office of Trimin will be closed and operations shifted to the Toronto office.

Holland will remain with the company until June 30 and serve as a consultant for the next 18 months. As a result of the management company’s shift to Toronto, vice-president Paul McCurry will also resign.

Elizabeth Collet Funk has been named president and CEO of CML Global Capital Ltd. She replaces Eric Kong, who will continue as an adviser to the company.

As well, Chan-Seng Lee has resigned as chief financial officer and corporate secretary, while Veronica Bouvier assumes the positions of senior VP of accounting/administration and corporate secretary.

The firm recently relocated its head office from Vancouver to Calgary.

CML is an investment firm with a focus on office commercial real estate ownership and development, and parking real estate and management in Western Canada, Asia and Belize. * * * * John Carden is the new exploration vice-president for Corex Gold Corp., based in Vancouver.

Carden is currently a consulting geologist with Minefinders Corp. in Mexico. He has more than 30 years of experience in precious metal exploration.

RadiantCommunications Corp. has named Tom Gillette as executive vice-president of sales and marketing.

Gillette joins the Vancouver-based Internet services company (RCX-TSXV) from EDS Canada, where he was senior vice-president.

Radiant provides high-speed Internet connectivity, network security, web hosting and development, and marketing services in Canada and the United States. The company has offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.

Burnaby-based Unity Wireless Corp. is making changes in the executive office.

Dallas Pretty has been appointed chief financial officer after nearly nine months as the company’s executive vice-chairman. Pretty is a chartered accountant with more than 10 years of experience in public and private companies in the technology sector.

As well, the firm has appointed a new director of engineering, global supply and quality assurance. Mark Finlay joined Unity Wireless in 2002 as a senior engineer and later engineering group leader. Previously, he had nearly 15 years of experience in the technology sector.
