Troubled Enterra Energy Trust (TSX:ENT.UN), whose unit price fell from $30 in 2005 to $1 last December, has named Don Klapko as president and CEO. Klapko had been a management consultant to Enterra since November. He has three decades of oil and gas industry experience, most recently as president of privately held Trigger Resources Ltd. Enterra's head office is in Calgary.

Talisman Energy Inc. (TSX:TLM), which is undergoing a strategic revamp that will see as much as $3 billion in assets sold, has appointed Scott Thomson as its new CFO. Thomson's expertise has been in mergers and acquisitions. Former CFO Phil Dolan will stay on in his existing duties as senior vice-president of finance. The Calgary company said last month it would be focusing its operations on three key strategic areas: North American unconventional gas, the North Sea and Southeast Asia.

Greg Busby has resigned as president and a director of Tuscany Energy Ltd. (TSXV:TUS) to pursue other endeavours. John McLeod has been appointed interim president and CEO, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. Tuscany says its board will continue a review of the "strategy alternatives to increase shareholder value.”

Tuscany is a Calgary-based oil and gas explorer.

William Johnson has joined Anterra Energy Inc. (TSXV:AE.A, AE.B) as president, COO and a director. He brings more than 20 years of experience with two major oil and gas companies. Anterra is a Calgary energy company with a portfolio of conventional and non-conventional projects.

Trimac Income Fund (TSX: TMA.UN) says its recently hired CFO, Gary Stewart, has resigned for personal reasons. Edward Malysa, executive VP and COO and Trimac's former CFO, will be assuming the role of CFO in the interim. The Calgary-based fund holds an indirect interest in Trimac Transportation Services LP, one of Canada's largest providers of bulk trucking services coast to coast.

Prime Meridian Resources Corp. (TSXV:PMR) has accepted the resignation for personal reasons of president, CEO and founder Michael Senn. He leaves July 31, and will act as technical adviser after that date. PMR is a Calgary-based exploration company focused on the Midcontinent Rift system in Michigan and Minnesota.

XS Cargo Income Fund (TSX:XSC.UN) has appointed Ross Kelly as its new CFO. The fund has a 51-per-cent indirect interest in XS Cargo LP, which operates 40 closeout retail stores across Canada. The fund's head office is in Calgary.

Doug Meiklejohn has resigned as president and CEO of Cruiser Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSXV:COG). Ray Smith, chairman of the board, has been appointed interim CEO. Cruiser is a Calgary-based junior oil and gas company focused on Western Canada.

Vast Exploration Inc. (TSXV:VST) has appointed Fari Goodarzi as VP of exploration, as well as Col. Richard Nabb to the position of VP of Kurdistan operations. Goodarzi comes with extensive experience in conventional and unconventional oil, gas and coal resources. Nabb comes with military and economic experience in Kurdistan. Vast is a Calgary-based oil and gas company, and a partner of Niko Resources Ltd., focused on the Qara Dagh Block in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

PetroGlobe Inc. (TSXV:PGB) has engaged Wayne Singular as VP of finance. He brings 23 years of financial management experience in public and private organizations to the Calgary company. PetroGlobe has properties in West Texas and Alberta. Its wholly owned subsidiary, PetroGlobe (Canada) Ltd., is in the business of international oil and gas consulting.

Visionstate, a division of CSM Systems Corp. (TSXV:CKX), has promoted Erik Johnson to president. Johnson has been with Visionstate for four years. Former president John Putters will retain his position as president of CSM Systems and his seat on the board of directors. Based in Edmonton, Visionstate provides virtual customer-care applications in public places.

David Pickrell has tendered his resignation as CEO, president and a director of Cematrix Corp. (TSXV: CVX). He has been replaced by Jeffrey Kendrick. Based in Calgary, Cematrix, through a wholly owned subsidiary, supplies cellular concrete products with applications in a variety of markets, including oil and gas construction and infrastructure construction.

Matthew Janisch has tendered his resignation as VP of Bow Valley Energy Ltd. (TSX:BVX) His duties have been assumed by management members with oversight by the Calgary firm's board and the audit committee. Bow Valley is an oil and natural gas company with operations in the North Sea and Alaska.
