Prominex Resource Corp. (TSX V:PXR) has appointed Susan Quinlan as CFO and corporate secretary. She will also become a member of the board and operate out of the company's St. John's, Nfld., office. Quinlan replaces T. Allen Rose, whom the Vancouver company said voluntarily resigned those positions. Quinlan has been a financial consultant with Quinlan and Taylor, Chartered Accountants since 1994. Prominex is a base-metals and gold exploration and development company with two advanced projects in Newfoundland.
egX Group (TSXV:GFG) has hired Derek Lynden as its new chief information officer as the company prepares to launch wholly owned subsidiary egX Canada. He will work out of egX's Toronto office. Lynden previously worked 15 years with IBM Global Services Canada, the last three in securities industry services. egX Group is developing the egX, a global marketplace for the listing and trading of real estate securities and related financial products. It is based in Vancouver.
WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a provider of location-based and fleet telematics services, has promoted Neil Chan to the position of senior vice-president of worldwide sales and marketing. WebTech is based in Burnaby.
Clive Massey, president and chief executive officer of Universal Uranium (TSXV:UUL), has left the company. The board of directors will take on overall management of the company until a replacement is found. Universal is a Vancouver-based uranium exploration and development company.
Pine Valley Mining Corp. (TSX:PVM) has accepted the resignation of Bob Bell from the positions of president, CEO and director. Bell has left following the sale of company subsidiary Falls Mountain Coal Inc. Pine Valley's head office is in Vancouver.
International Bio Recovery Corp. (TSXV: IBR) has promoted Henry Bow as interim president and CEO. Bow has been serving as company VP. Located in North Vancouver, IBR markets technology products through the sale of licences.

Drew Cadenhead has tendered his resignation as chief executive officer, president and director of Tag Oil Ltd. (TSXV:TAO) for personal reasons. He will remain in a consulting role during a transition period. Garth Johnson, a Tag director and the CFO, has accepted the position of CEO. Based in Vancouver, Tag is an oil producer focused on New Zealand.
PolyMet Mining Corp. (TSX:POM, AMEX:PLM) has added to the management team at its wholly owned NorthMet project in Minnesota. LaTisha Gietzen becomes vice-president of public, government and environmental affairs. Most recently she was responsible for Minnesota public relations for Cleveland Cliffs, Inc. PolyMet is a mine development company with its head office in Vancouver.
Victoria Resource Corp. (TSXV:VIT) has named Chad Williams, P. Eng, as the company's new president and CEO. Williams replaces Roger Richer, who recently resigned along with CFO Mark Corra and several other employees formerly associated with Bema Gold Corp. (now Kinross Gold), which administered some of VIT's business in the past. Victoria Resource is a mining company with its corporate office in Vancouver.
Vaughn Balberan has resigned as controller of WEX Pharmaceuticals Inc. (TSX:WXI) due to personal reasons. He had also been acting as CFO pending the appointment of a replacement. Based in Vancouver, WEX is dedicated to the development and commercialization of analgesic drugs.
Eric Nonacs, former foreign policy adviser to ex-U.S. president Bill Clinton and the William J. Clinton Foundation, has joined Vancouver's Endeavour Financial as its managing director for global affairs. Nonacs also will be working on the set-up and implementation of the recently announced Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative (CGSGI). Launched in New York on June 21 by Clinton and Endeavour's former chair Frank Giustra, CGSGI aims to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable economic development by combining the resources of the Clinton Foundation and the world's mining sector. Endeavour is a merchant banker specializing in the global resources sector.
Stephen Regan is the new president and CEO of the Council of Tourism Associations (COTA) of British Columbia, effective Oct. 1. Regan has spent the last 10 years in various roles at Tourism Vancouver, most recently as manager of destination development.
COTA of B.C. is an advocacy organization that represents the more than 18,000 tourism operations across the province.
Open EC Technologies, Inc. (TSXV:OCE) has appointed Michael Chen as CFO, replacing John Versfelt, who is resigning but will remain a member of the board. Chen comes with experience with three Fortune 500 companies as well as several start-ups. Open EC, whose head office is in North Vancouver, said the change in CFO is "a reflection of our successful business development activities in China.”

Crosshair Exploration & Mining Corp. (TSXV: CXX, AMEX:CXZ) has promoted Wayne Pickett to the position of VP of exploration, replacing Tim Froude. Pickett has been with Crosshair since September 2005, previously serving as general manager of exploration for Newfoundland and Labrador projects. Crosshair is exploring for uranium in the Central Mineral Belt of Labrador. It is based in Vancouver with an exploration office in St. John's.
CHIP Hospitality has hired Val Hunter as director of sales at Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre Canmore. Hunter joins with more than a dozen years in the hospitality and tourism industries, most recently as sales manager at the Banff Park Lodge.
