Canadian newsmagazine Maclean's will be losing a veteran editor next month when Anthony Wilson-Smith leaves at the end of February.

Wilson-Smith has been with Maclean's since 1983 and has been editor since early 2001.

The company has not yet named a replacement.

J. Stephen Wilson has tendered his resignation as chief financial officer of Belzberg Technologies Inc. as of Feb. 7 to pursue other business opportunities.

Richard Maisel, currently controller of Belzberg, will replace Wilson as CFO.

Belzberg Technologies (TSX:BLZ) provides software and networks that enable global, direct-access routing and execution of trades for financial institutions in the United States, Canada and Europe.

Fjord Interactive Marketing + Technology has hired Michael Seven as creative director. Seven, who has extensive experience in automotive, financial services, telecommunications and consumer packaged goods, was most recently with Blue Spark Media in Toronto.

Wine producer Vincor International Inc. (TSX:VN) has appointed Michael Jaeger, a 17-year veteran of the California wine industry, as president of Vincor USA.

Vincor International is the world's 13th-largest producer and marketer of wines and related products by revenue.

HydraLogic Systems Inc. (TSXV:HLS) has made two additions to its management team, with Joseph E. Young joining as executive vice- president and chief operating officer, and Peter Wright as controller.

HydraLogic Systems Inc. is an environmental technology company that is focused on the replacement of harmful polluting chemicals with non-toxic environmentally responsible solutions.

Materials technology company Cymat Corp. (TSX: CYM) has hired Richard P. Rogers as CFO.

Cymat, headquartered in Mississauga, produces stabilized aluminum foam product.

IBM Canada president Ed Kilroy is leaving the computer services company to become chief executive of Symcor Inc., a cheque and payment processing outsourcing firm owned by three of Canada's big banks.

The Canadian technology industry executive has been president of IBM Canada since April 2001.

Pender International Inc. (OTCBB:PNDR) has appointed Orlando Silvestri as president and CEO, replacing the recently resigned Michael Ciavarella. Silvestri has also been appointed to the board of directors. He comes to Pender having owned and operated construction services company Tacom Crane Ltd.

Venture Communications Ltd. of Calgary has announced the hiring of Alison Simpson as managing director.

Simpson will lead Venture's move into the Greater Toronto Area market by opening Venture's new Toronto office.

She will also have responsibilities for Venture's Calgary and Ottawa offices.
