Viterra (TSX:VT) has appointed Steven Berger as senior vice-president of human resources and transformation. He replaces Gerry Valois, who retired earlier this year. Berger was previously a senior executive with global management consultancy Accenture. Over the past six months, he has worked with Viterra's chief executive and chief operating officer on the integration of Saskatchewan Wheat Pool Inc. and Agricore United to create Viterra. He will reside in Calgary working with operations across Western Canada. Viterra has extensive operations and distribution capabilities across Western Canada.
DiaMedica Inc. (TSXV:DMA) has named Eric Johnstone, CA, as VP of finance. He was previously the company's controller. April Manness has stepped down as CFO for maternity leave. DiaMedica is developing treatments for various stages of Type 2 diabetes. Its head office is in Winnipeg.
