WestJet is spreading its wings over the United States with new non-stop service from its Calgary and Toronto hubs to five American destinations.
The transborder service will begin in September and October 2004.
“We are extremely pleased to announce the addition of our newest WestJet cities,” said Clive Beddoe, WestJet’s president, CEO and executive chairman. “The announcement of our transborder schedule marks a significant accomplishment for our airline as we commence scheduled service to the United States for the first time.”
Starting September 20, WestJet will offer daily non-stop flights between Calgary and Los Angeles, and daily non-stop service between Toronto and Los Angeles.
Effective October 4, WestJet will offer two non-stop flights per week between Calgary and San Francisco.
On October 5, WestJet will start offering two non-stop flights per week between Calgary and Phoenix.
Beginning October 6, WestJet will offer two non-stop flights per week between Calgary and Orlando, Fla. On October 9, WestJet will start offering one non-stop flight per week between Calgary and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
